Pan Chen

Secretary

VP of Educational Outcomes, PeerVoice

Pan Chen holds a BA and MA in Sociology and a doctoral degree in human science. Pan brings nearly two decades of research and evaluation experience in academic, social service, healthcare research, and medical education settings. She has authored and co-authored over 30 publications and presentations at peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. The diverse yet complementary roles that Pan has held – from Postdoctoral Scholar, Project Lead, Research and Analytical Strategist, to Outcomes Director – shaped her passion and vision, leading to her current role as the Vice President of Educational Outcomes at PeerVoice.

Overseeing the strategy and implementation of all evaluation endeavours of PeerVoice, Pan orchestrated an outcomes paradigm shift by fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within her organisation. Departing from the traditional approach that focuses primarily on impact validation, Pan applies a research lens and a multidisciplinary team approach in developing an insights-oriented evaluation model. This model not only informs educational impact but also illuminates future education opportunities, quality improvement, and outcomes model advancement. Recognising the pivotal role of outcomes in shaping effective education design, Pan also dedicated herself to developing a real-time, self-service data and reporting system that completely transformed how teams at her organisation access and utilise outcomes data in their daily practice.

Pan’s commitment to cultivating outcomes that truly matter throughout the life cycle of medical education drives her passion to share with the wider community and actively advocate for behavioural changes in genuinely approaching outcomes as an intrinsic element of medical education.
