Samar Aboulsoud, MD, PhD, MMedEd, FHEA, MAcadMEd, FAMEE
Dr. Samar Aboulsoud is a distinguished medical educationalist and leader in Health Professions Education, widely recognized for her impactful contributions to medical education and accreditation at regional and global levels. As the former CEO of the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, she spearheaded the development of an internationally recognized Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation system, advancing standards of professional regulation and quality assurance across the healthcare sector. Her leadership in this role strengthened her expertise in global accreditation standards, strategic partnerships, and the management of large-scale educational reform initiatives. Dr. Aboulsoud has held several prominent international positions, including Chair of the AMEE-CPD Committee, Chair of the ASPIRE Award in international collaboration in HPE, Member of the International Academy for CPD Accreditation and Chair of the Education Committee and Board Member of the Global Alliance for Medical Education (GAME). She also serves as a member of the WHO Academy Quality Committee, Assessor for the PG recognition program for the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and an editorial board member of several leading medical education journals. A Professor of Internal Medicine at Cairo University, Dr. Aboulsoud is deeply committed to academic excellence. She has published in high-impact journals and presented her work at major international conferences on medical education and professional development. Her achievements have been recognized with numerous honors, including being named among the Top 100 Chief Executive Officers in the Arab World and receiving the British Council UK Alumni Award for Professional Achievement. She is a Fellow of AMEE, the Higher Education Academy (UK), and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators, underscoring her sustained contributions to advancing excellence in medical education globally.
