Why did you join GAME?

GAME Past President, Dale Kummerle, PharmD, came to speak to the student leaders at my institution about his career journey. I spoke with him after his presentation and he recommended I become a member of GAME. I have since developed a strong affinity for the field of CME/CE/CPD and look forward to working more with GAME. GAME does an excellent job of having a diverse background of leadership and members that reflect the global community of healthcare professions. The events that GAME puts on, such as the Member Meetup activities, do a great job of allowing people a space to engage in dialogue, share best practices, and allow collaboration in life-long learning. One of the biggest benefits of being a member is being exposed to the global trends of medical education, and being able to compare them and adopt some ideas into your own practice. I have learned a great deal from GAME, and I plan to apply much of my knowledge to my career as a Pharmacist.

I would like to make continuous learning and professional networking more mainstream to students via various modalities; I believe GAME has the capacity to help with this. Medical education is a part of every healthcare professional’s (e.g., providers, researchers, scientists) career. I believe that early exposure to GAME will support membership growth for the organization, and provide value to students entering the workforce. Being able to address barriers and develop solutions for collaboration and lifelong learning is what would be accomplished through these endeavors.

Whoever is interested in this industry and is starting their careers needs to join GAME to be able to have a full immersion into what the global CME/CE/CPD field has to offer. GAME offers networking opportunities, professional development training, and much more that will whet the appetite of anyone seeking to learn more in this field!
